I know net is full of harsh people, but I really am not among them (ask anyone who knows me), unless I feel someone attacks me. Tomorrow I try reinstall the compiler and let's see. @araq One more question. What did you mean when you wrote, "but the compiler optimizes away the loop entirely"? Should I worry that the compiler can do it also some other time, when I am not expecting this?
