I have not had success with packages for installing Nim, but the instructions on this page [http://nim-lang.org/download.html](http://forum.nim-lang.org///nim-lang.org/download.html) work. So I suggest you carefully try the 'Installation based on generated C code' and if that doesn't work then 'Bleeding edge installation from GitHub'. After that, if you have problems still, make another post that includes the exact commands you typed and all of the output.
