@Dom96 I can't really argue with you here! I don't want to take away from your work on Httpbeast! Httpbeast is very impressive and shows how good todays Nim really is.
I also agree that fixing channels and Flowvars will make todays Nim threads much better. I will say that the Channels and Flowvar solutions make Nim look a lot like a "better Go", at least in terms of how the runtime and GC works. Make your own opinions on that :-P I just want to re-iterate that Nim has always been very flexible for the MM options it allows. I don't think this necessarily takes away from the GC, it just provides more options to allow Nim to take over the world... I mean... take over the full stack :-P
