That is not quite so. Okito is quite capable of handling polytonic Greek, which is "true Unicode" and probably other sets outside the scope of the TEC. Certainly I had a fair amount of trouble with Okito when I tried it and would never have expected it to develop as an alternative to Nisus, but at least Charles Jolley has the distinction of having produced the first Unicode-aware word-processor for OS 10 even if it is delta-ware and nowhere near what a serious user demands. Let's hope Nisus can use his talents to good advantage and not lose too much of the functionality we have always had with Nisus from the first version. I fear we shall need to forego quite a lot in early cocoa versions of Nisus, however. So long as I see steady progress, I shall be patient in the early stages, since I guess it's a mammoth task. It would be good to hear something substantial from Nisus about the plan.
