Que? That little window at the right of the toolbar, Brian? Gives space above in whatever measurement you designate -- auto (points), line (lines) or fixed (interesting). What's "normal". Since you can go from zero to whatever in either of the first two options, that's fine. Very occasionally, I might want to use a space below but it is not a big deal for me. Hardly use space below in PageMaker either, except when working with graphics. I agree about the mad insistence of high-end WP programmers to put print, save, etc. symbols in as toolbar (although I have to admit that one of my clients uses it all the time -- but then she is on Macrosomthing Weird on a Persiflage Confuser). In AppleWorks, you can designatve what you want in the toolbar. Good.
