(B>RTF support is built into OS X (you can read about this on Apple's
(B>developer site). So, unless Nisus Software has written its own RTF
(B>conversion utility (unlikely), NWX will plug into the system's RTF
(B>support, and that's where the problem comes in: OS X still does not
(B>support much of the RTF standard. If I remember right, OS X currently
(B>supports character and paragraph formatting, footnotes, and a few other
(B>things, but not tables. I assume that as OS X grows, so will its RTF
(B>implementation. At least I hope so.

(BIt will be interesting to see if Apple does release a word processor
(Bapplication, or continues to enhance TextEdit, which has acquired useful
(Bfeatures like a variety of tab setting options since it first appeared.
(BIt would certainly be another boost for OS X, if Apple were able to
(Bimplement solid RTF support at the system level. This would be a better
(Boption than another Apple word processor, if we count TextEdit and
(BAppleWorks as word processors.
