Hi all,

For a moment, I've resigned to let that weird Catalog unused and keep its
window closed, but it behaved too unstable with type 2 error messages and I
tried once to understand what has been markedly changed by switching to OS
9.X.
When re-reading Michael's reply related to his "Page Setup" causing the
Catalog all screwy, I searched that way and considered the other problem
that the OS 9.x upgrade has caused: I could'nt get "Page Setup" nor "Print"
work in any application since I upgraded, due to an incompatibility of my
Hewlett-Packard printer driver with the new OS. I didn't mention this
problem in my previous messages as I thought it wasn't related.
Actually, this was the very problem for the Catalog and it was fixed as
soon I choose "Lasewriter 8" in the chooser and toggled AppleTalk "ON".
Needless to say, I went to the HP support web page for downloading the
"last" printer driver for a Deskjet 850 C and installed it, but it didn't
work; I have to boot with OS 8.5.1 to succeed in printing.
Now my Catalog-related problem is fixed but that question still exists: why
does the Catalog window turn buggy when "Page Setup" or printer resources
are not available?

Thanks to you all!

Regards,

Franois
