Datia, ATM is not necessary when running OS X and probably shouldn't be used in the Classic environment which provides limited support to Mac OS 9 Control Panels and Extensions.
One way to work around Classic's limitations is to run a real Mac OS 9.22 on a seperate volume. I have two frives that each has an OS X and an Mac OS 9.22 partition. I have to change startup disks to use ATM Light running under Mac OS 9.22, but ir pwerforms faultlessly.
