In fact, that feature was requested by almost a 2-1 margin over any other feature. Since we had the time to do it while other issues were being taken care of, we added it.
Oh, and no, this was not a factor in us delaying the release of the public beta.

I will be interested to see if the translator is from DataViz or is something like Recosoft's VINC utility, which does support double-byte language Word files.
