I have to agree with Ron and Jerry that Word (.doc) translation is nice,
it is not an absolute priority. As long as we can edit RTF documents
without using an intermediary format, being able import/export DOC files
could have waited for am update. Having said that, we don't know if that
is a factor in the delay in releasing a public beta. OS X's support for
RTF must make the task of developing such a file translator much easier. No?

I will be interested to see if the translator is from DataViz or is
something like Recosoft's VINC utility, which does support double-byte
language Word files.
