I've struggled through the Express betas and tolerated the 1.0 release after my paid upgrade. All I can say is, "I've had enough." Last night, I fired up Classic and Nisus Writer again after months of trying to force myself to fit into the Express mold. Even if Nisus Writer hadn't spoiled me over the past umpteen years, I believe, with conviction, that the state of OS X word processing is pathetic. You know it's gotta be bad when Word looks like the best option. Good god, what's happening!

I'll keep downloading every new X word processor, but until one of them captures the glory of Nisus Writer, I'm stuck running Classic. Now, if only Nisus Writer didn't leave a duplicate of the selected text behind when I drag and drop to edit. While this is a nuisance, it only partially hampers my ability to get work done.

There was no joy in Mudville. Mighty Nisus had struck out...
