Copy problems

Why does copy and paste not always work in Nisus Writer X?  Sometimes 
when I copy an image from another application to the clipboard, I can 
paste it into a document, sometimes not.  For example, copying a 
section of a finder window will always paste into a document, but 
copying an image from GraphicConverter always fails.  Is this a bug?
