Define languages as you want, then assign keyboard shortcuts, and you can switch from one language to another on the fly. It's really handy, and when you are editing, Express will automatically bring up the right keyboard for you, instead of sending you to the flag menu every time.
I frequently change between certain keyboard layouts, using the keyboard menu (OS 10.3.2, Nisus Writer Express 1.1.2), but I find that after a while the selection has jumped back to a previous selection. For example, I mostly use (or try to use) the keyboard called "Irish extended," but after a while it has changed to "Irish" (not the same). I also sometimes use the "hex input" keyboard, but again it changes back after a while.
I've tested this (not very thoroughly) with other applications and it seems to happen there also, so perhaps this is not just a Nisus problem.
