Hi, Cillian will help at FOSDEM[1] (Brussels, Belgium, 4th and 5th Feb) with the video, be pretty busy with that, but wear a NixOS T-Shirt. So, if you are in the area or were anyway planning to go there and look for a good opportunity to wear your NixOS T-Shirt, drop him a line.
In Vienna, Austria will be the artsprint[2] (13th-18th) and in Munich, Germany the German Plone Konferenz (22nd-26th) accompanied by a sprint. And in between a couple of people including Rok Garbas and myself will have a train sprint on 21st getting from Vienna to Munich. I'd love to target python4nix during one or both of the sprints, Rok Garbas will also be on both sprints and Cillian on the one in Munich, both at least available for discussions. My goals would be: - achieving pureness for python packages - auto-generate nix expressions for selected packages from pypi - same for emacs packages and nix - deploy Plone purely via nix using zc.buildout (it's current default build system), i.e. not allowing it to download anything - deploy Plone purely via nix without zc.buildout, just pip/easy_install It would be great if you would join us - not knowing python, nix or both does not count as an excuse! Apart from the sprinting we will be at Metalab[4], get a free tour of Vienna Academy's Gallery of Paintings and enjoy Austrian and Bavarian drinking and eating culture - more to come. We are in the process of arranging accomodation, so if you feel like joining, please drop me a line. If you can't make the whole time, join for a couple of days!
