IIRC from the discussion on IRC, you hadn't yet tried to start KDE
with a fresh user account. I seem to recall you also had some problems
when upgrading from an earlier version of KDE but did manage to get
around them without creating a fresh ~/.kde, does that sound right? I
fear there is some old configuration in there still which is causing a
problem, perhaps just pointing to an invalid path in the store. I have
had some issues in the past when upgrading KDE which didn't occur with
a fresh ~/.kde so I copied over my customisations to the fresh ~/.kde
and everything has been fine since then. It would be a useful point of
reference to know if you have tried this yet.
I started a guest account, and KDE crashes for it as well.
