I'm attempting to install R library "nloptr" v1.0.4 (latest) in R v3.3.2 (latest stable) and the automatic download of dependency tarball for NLopt 2.4.2 from ab-initio.mit.edu.au is failing - usually timing out within a minute or two with very little bytes downloaded. The URI is: http://ab-initio.mit.edu/nlopt/nlopt-2.4.2.tar.gz Is there an alternate URI for download of the source tarball? I wonder if the authors could look into why the Internet connection into ab-initio.mit.edu.au is extremely slow? I will keep trying to download the source manually and if it works, I'll run the R installation of nloptr library again. Thanks in advance for any help. Cheers, Othmar
