Yes, this was a very interesting event. The thing I most enjoyed about it was the small group of people from various disciplines like system administrators + CS/AI + law professors... and very informal discussions during various sessions. People would even crack jokes during the talks !
Moreoever, we were really lucky to sit on the same table at the Banquet with Tom Mitchell. He is a very very nice and interesting person and we really enjoyed talking with him A LOT. I was amazed to see his interests in a broad range of AI applications that combine various problems like Question Answering, Information Retrieval/Extraction, Summarization, Ambiguity Resolution, Dialogue systems etc into a single rich intelligent system ! We all shared lots of ideas/imaginations on future of AI after 5/10/50 years :-) We also jumped into some of the topics in conginitive science, psychology and even medical sciences and everyone shared their reading on various recent discoveries/ surprises in those areas... And of course, we talked about emails :-) and how to make email applications intelligent. Btw, this was a test message to check if I can send emails to group with my new cs.pitt mail id.
