We had perhaps the longest group meeting ever on Friday, March 10. It started at 3pm, and ended sometime a little after 8pm. Much was discussed, and I won't even attempt to describe it here. We talked about our recent accomplishments and I guess this means we have accomplished a lot. ;)
But, we somehow got to talking about Suduko, which is very much related to the problem of fixing marginal totals and finding internal cell counts that satisfy the constraints provided by the marginals. That is sort of what Suduko is, although we don't really have marginals, the constraints are more on the numbers that may fill cells. But, this was the first group meeting of the semester, so maybe it all balances out.
