This is a remarkable case, where a book on the Solaris operating system
turns out to be a major act of plagiarism. Please read this, it's very
very interesting (and horrifying).

What this shows is that publishers do not always check the authenticty
of the work they publish, and that we the reader must be careful, and
we must also make sure to report and follow up on any instances of
plagiarism that we may encounter as we read materials. The academic
community is in many respects self policing, and we all have a part
to play in that.
