This is a remarkable case, where a book on the Solaris operating system turns out to be a major act of plagiarism. Please read this, it's very very interesting (and horrifying). What this shows is that publishers do not always check the authenticty of the work they publish, and that we the reader must be careful, and we must also make sure to report and follow up on any instances of plagiarism that we may encounter as we read materials. The academic community is in many respects self policing, and we all have a part to play in that. Ted -- Ted Pedersen http://www.d.umn.edu/~tpederse Yahoo!
