Hello everyone, Echoing Anagha's note, I too had applied for PhD programs in a few schools and am happy to inform that I have accepted the offer of admission from Language Technologies Institute at the Carnegie Mellon University. I have been accepted into the Masters in Language Technologies program and intend to continue on for a PhD.
CMU is certainly a fantastic and fun place to be and I am really excited about it and looking forward to going there. At the same time I am sure I will miss UMD in many ways. I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the crucial role played by UMD and in particular Ted in shaping up the students' careers. Not having a degree from a school like IIT from India (Indian Institute of Technology), an average student such as me could not have imagined getting into CMU.
