Greetings all, Just a note to let you know that Bridget, Serguei and I participated in the following shared task: http://ieee-ssci.org/cidm2007/challenge
It has to do with assinging billing codes to clinical notes, and was a pretty interesting and well run challenge (from my perspective at least, Bridget did the real work here). Results will be announced shortly, and we'll keep you posted on this. I am mostly posting this just to make sure you are all aware of yet another shared task that is very relevant to the work we do or have done, and this is a nice one in that there is no barrier to entry, anyone can participate, and you are not even required to attend the conference. Of course the conference is in Hawaii so it might actually be nice to attend. :) Senseval-4 is nearing the final week, and so far ... well, who knows really. :) We'll see how that turns out too.
