Yet another sad case, this time a young writer (of fiction) has been gradually revealed to be a rather major fraud....it is the case of Kaavya Viswanathan, who was initially celebrated as a brilliant new teen age author, and is now embroiled in a real mess because it's pretty clear she plagiarized in a very major way. Wikipedia does a nice job of summarizing this and giving related links, etc.
