Hi Varada and Atul, There are quite a few resources that we have here at UMD that I forget to mention, or even forget to use. :)
One of these is the ACM Digital Library. http://portal.acm.org/portal.cfm Our library has a subscription to this, so if you are logged into the UMD network you can get on to the site above (either directly or through the library web site) and you have access to a huge number of journal articles and conference proceedings, many of which are of great relevance and interest to what we do here. I'd encourage you to log in and search around for some of the terms we have been talking about, just to see some of the publications that will pop up. Of course you can still use Google for such searching, but the nice thing about the ACM Digital Library is that it includes most of the relevant proceedings and journals for conferences in our area and related areas (like ACL, SIGIR, etc. etc. etc.) and it is quite easy to use. There are other journals and digital libraries available to us, you can see those at : http://www.d.umn.edu/lib/elist/indexlistpage.php Please give these a try, and let me know if you have any trouble accessing anything. I suspect it will be useful not only for your thesis work but in your classes, etc. as well. Enjoy, Ted -- Ted Pedersen http://www.d.umn.edu/~tpederse
