Most of the CPU time is spent watching The Daily Show. That has an occasional stutter under the x wrapper for mplayer but that disappears if I run the command line version.
The main thing to remember is that this is a small, light, cheap system, not a desktop replacement. Compromises were made to bring that about so adjust expectations accordingly. For me, this was more of a replacement for my aging palm TX than anything.
