Thank you for responding on this one Andy. I was going to respond to this, but was at work and did not have enough of a break to type out a response. Even advanced users need to hone their original skills on the "beginning/intermediate" tasks. I and others have already expressed interest in having a meeting of several small topics rather than one large topic that consumes the entire meeting. There may be times where those meetings are called for. However, I enjoy having everyone participating in giving presentations. It allows you to connect with the group and public speaking never hurt anyone.
This is the right group for you. I am not an expert in Linux and would consider myself a beginning to intermediate level user. Everyone has to start somewhere. Based on our discussion, you sound as if you would be a person who would love to give a presentation on a topic. Not everything has to be correct, but don't worry, our group will assist if you have any questions. There will not always be a response. But, if there is no response, you may have to ask your question two or three times before it is answered. Also, if you ask your question in the middle of a very heated discussion, it may become "lost" in the fray so speak as everyone is not exactly focusing on your individual question. That is my opinion on what I have seen in the past. Andy would be the best person to know how things have worked out in the past. So, thank you very much, Kevin Eldridge P.S. I hope you can make it out as tomorrow night will be a good forum for you to ask any questions you have and get relevant answers. Well, mostly relevant. ;) On Mon, Oct 13, 2008 at 2:18 PM, Andrew Farnsworth <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Brooke, > I will take a crack at this.
