Hey everyone,
A bit off topic here but I know there are a lot of mac users on here and I
am looking to put together a mac server. It turns out the power here dies
fairly often and, as such, i was looking for a good UPS. I know that APC
used to be the brand of choice but it appears their Mac OSX Software has not
been updated in a quite a while. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Just for reference, I am currently looking at the APC RS 1500 as it seems to
be the price point to meet. There are other brands out there that seem to
offer the same power rating for less, and many of the reviews I have seen
give APC a good rating but with some serious "cons", like no repair /
support after the warranty ends, no good way to replace the batteries,
etc...

So, suggestions, comments, and opinions are wanted. Oh, and to keep it
somewhat on topic, how about listing any Linux support you know about for
the UPS you discuss.

MAIH...

Andy
