Ok, admittedly my last post was very terse but I was busy at the time.  
The reason I asked was my recent experience backing up my 75 Gb of data 
over my comcast internet connection.  Now that was coming down into the 
house from my server on the internet so I was using the "fast" portion 
of the connection, but it was 75Gb of data and took a week or so to 
download.  Now my rsync backups take very little time there are very few 
changes to that server on a daily basis.
