I figure its about time to move into the 1000 speed networking here at the house. Since getting an iMac a few months ago I finally have broken the seal with 1000 in the house. So, whats everyone's favorite semi 'pro' level equipment. And more important to me really, whats a recommended card? I know some cards are liked more than others for compatibility for linux. Right now here in the house i have 2 Debian based machines. Then my iMac. Need at least 6 ports, rather have more than that. Rather not to spend more than 100 for the switch if possible.
Any tips or pitfalls anyone has had in upgrading to 1000? -- Kevin "You can't turn a pig into a thoroughbred, but if you spend enough time and money, you sure can make a mighty fast pig" --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "NLUG" group.
