Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. has expanded its Medicaid presence
to 14 states, apart from Washington D.C., after it clinched the 5-
year, $156 million, TennCare management Information System (TCMIS)
deal. Following the deal with Tennessee Bureau of TennCare, ACS will
now carry out the operations, data management and systems modification
to help deliver the state’s Medicaid program.

ACS plans to enhance the TennCare program through an enterprise
project management office that would help measure, monitor and manage
several technology projects within the bureau. The Company would also
be evaluating current business processes in place for the program, and
provide technology driven solutions for possible process enhancements.
The TCMIS will be directly influencing healthcare delivery to the 1.2
million Tennesseans covered under the ‘TennCare’ Medicaid managed care
program.

The Jr. System Administrator, will primarily be responsible for
assisting in setup and regular system administration in a Sun Solaris
environment.  Experience with Solaris versions 9 and 10 required.
Setup activities will include network connectivity, user and security
administration, system backup, and other administrative tasks as
needed.  Expertise with Veritas and other Unix utilities desired.
Secondary responsibilities will include backup systems administration
in Citrix, Windows, and client-server environments.  Proficient with
Microsoft Office Suite and PC desktops required.  Some overtime and
off-hours work will be required from time to time.  Other tasks may
include, but are not limited to the following:

·          Operates data communication systems, including LANs and/or
WANs

·          Plans, designs and implements networked systems, including
configurations, and supports/troubleshoots network problems

·          Proposes and implements system enhancements (software and
hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of
the system

·          Designs, analyzes, plans, and modifies network components
supporting customer communication implementation activities

·          Develops and evaluates network performance criteria and
measurement methods

·          Prepares the analysis of the capacity needs for switching,
routing transmission and signaling

·          Conducts network architecture design, feasibility and cost
studies



Minimum 4 years experience in Solaris environments in large data
centers.

Sun Certified System Administrator (SCSA) desirable.

Knowledge of Healthcare claims processing systems is a plus.
