I've found the Knoppmyth worked pretty well for me. Some minor configuration out-of-the-box and downloading and compiling the software for the display on the front of the box and it was ready to go. It's not 100%, occasionally locking up and the OOM monster rearing its head occasionally but other than that, it performs well. I use a PCHDTV card. Not sure of the model number offhand but I think it's a 3000.
