As far as this topic started and then evolved John did answer based on us being in irc and here on the board about headers. Thanks. Other email clients may not do it but Mutt at least does. Al/Pine probably does also. I did a quick lxquick search and there are loads of html templates and tutorials as to how to send html letters. So the headers part will help which I think I have set properly in my .procmailrc and .muttrc Since I use Firefox or whatever its calling itself on that day, they have plugins to take care of a lot of the things security wise,that yes, us little ole Penguin users can be affected by just as fast as Wintel box.
It saddens me in regard to the rudeness, staunchness, arrogance and name calling done by some people in this post. I sure didn't get this response from the couple of meetings, the Installfest and a dinner down by Vanderbuilt after meeting maybe 70 of you all. As far as I know I have never met anyone of the above mentioned people. To me it shows a lack of compassion, a flaw in the logic of understanding what circumstances someone maybe in personally, genetics, and medications to start. There are sure other areas I'm not thinking of at present but could probably be applied. To try and force someone to do something your way that in the final analysis doesn't really matter. This board is not brain surgery or 911 so I definitely don't take any undo sense of burden to be the "grammer and language paramilitary swat team". Yes, language is important but in an informal or relaxed atmosphere vs have to write a thesis or dissertation or for an employer. Those are two entire different worlds I personally could give a rats ass about the former. There are other things more important in life. Personally, if you talk with me you will find me a very moody person and in the later parts of the evenings the medications I take are very sedative. I do try my best to be coherent. I can only do what I can do on the phone and in print. There are some I know that because of genetics are in intense pain and their medications can cause some strange reactions also. "Fucktard anyone!"
