If you're a cheapskate like me, you might want to consider the LG Optimus Android phone that just came out on Virgin Mobile. It's only 600mhz but the reviews are very positive. The best part is that the price is $150 without a contract and the no-contract plan is only $25/month for 300 talk minutes but "unlimited" data. (Higher minutes at higher price available.)
They're supposed to be selling through both Target and Radio Shack (as well as VM's website).
