This Saturday, 10/01 we are planning to launch another high altitude balloon from my house in Mt. Juliet, TN. The plan is to launch early to try and get a bit greater altitude before solar heat can affect the balloon too much. Below are some particulars about the flight. Landing predictions have been erratic so it will not be known until just before the flight. Some predictions so far have it land near Beersheba Springs and others just north of Hartsville.

Juliet, TN Launch Lat/Long: 36.23317, -86.47017 Flight Number/Name: TABEL-10 Balloon Call Sign: APRS: NT4BG-11 MCW-FM: AA4VU Type/Size of Balloon (H2, He): 600g Kaymont, He Telemetry Mode (APRS, PSK, etc): APRS: 144.390MHz MCW-FM: 146.565MHz Additional Information: This is an ultra lightweight payload with a OT+SMT, SRB MX146LV, and a GT-320FW High-Altitude GPS Receiver on a custom made board to integrate the components. The enclosure is a semi-hard shell case designed for GPS receivers. We may also include a very small video camera. We expect the total weight of the package including parachute and strings to the balloon at about 1 pound. We hope for a fairly fast ascent but are mostly trying to get an altitude record, at least for us, of over 102 thousand feet. -- Bruce W.
