Yes, we deploy user systems on 32bit servers because of software
licensing issues. I am not yet able to drag the company into 64bit
computing but I am trying.
CentOS 6 is a PAE kernel and will not install into an environment that
does not support PAE. That said, PAE is not a native environment that
addresses beyond 3.?GB (virtual virtual memory on a virtual guest; this
has to be broken at some level...)
