There was a push at Vanderbilt to have "single sign on" -- I am guessing
they meant for web apps. I don't know what they are using to do it. (I
still have to enter my password at least three times at present: Windows,
VPN, and web application.)

Perhaps I don't know some secret, but the result so far has not been
exactly what I would have expected.

When I "sign out" of many web sites, it says I will not be completely
logged out until I close my browser completely (ok, this leads me to
believe it is one of the "single sign on" apps). But when I go to any
other web application, I still have to log in again. I haven't tried
bookmarking a page within applications.... perhaps it would work... idk...
but going to the "home page" for each app still requires me to log in again.

I'm interested in the technologies.

Good luck!
