Richard, I'd really appreciate an answer for this bug report ASAP.
I've got only a few days left to fix the online MH & nmh book! Thanks.

[Sorry for this series of bug reports after nmh-1.0 was released, BTW.
Unfortunately, the only time I can really dig into MH or nmh details
is when I need to document them for updates to the online book.]

The nmh-1.0 mhn(1) manpage documents the -cache switch, which is (was?)
used to cache external body parts:

       The switches `-list', `-show', `-store', and `-cache'
       direct the operation of mhn.
        ...

   Caching the Contents
When you encounter a content of type message/external-body
with access type "mail-server", mhn will ask you if may
send a message to a mail-server requesting the content,
           ...
You should now use the `-cache' switch to tell mhn to enter
the arriving content into the content cache, e.g.,

            % mhn -cache 2
caching message 2 as file ...

You can then re-process the original message/external-body
content, and "the right thing should happen", e.g.,

            % show 1
             ...

I see mentions of caching in mhshow(1), but they don't mention -cache.
The ChangeLog file doesn't say anything. If I try to use it, it fails:

        % mhshow -cache
        mhshow: -cache unknown

Did I miss discussion of this on the list? I need to fix the online book.
If this will be fixed, I'll say so. If it's been removed, does that mean
all support for caching will also be removed sometime? Thanks.

Jerry
