Howdy, nmh developers. A private discussion among some of the developers has just concluded, and the upshot is we'd like to establish a convention: If someone sends a patch to nmh-workers and you intend to commit it to the CVS archive, please reply on nmh-workers that you plan to do so. Do not respond directly to the author. If you do that, other developers won't be aware of what you're doing (unless they happen to respond to the author too and hear back from him/her in time) and may duplicate your effort. If the patch is something trivial, you should be able to get away with just a single post at the beginning. "Hey, thanks for fixing that -- I'll apply your patch right now / later today / ..." If it's something more involved, though, please also post to nmh-workers when you're done applying the patch. Thanks! Hopefully we can avoid duplication of effort and also keep everyone informed with this little convention. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Dan Harkless | To prevent SPAM contamination, please [EMAIL PROTECTED] | do not post this private email address SpeedGate Communications, Inc. | to the USENET or WWW.
