Sigh. I hate to wade into this, but ... I understand where people are coming from. Current MUAs don't display the Sender: by default (and I suspect other than nmh, most cannot), and essentially MUAs don't have access to the SMTP envelope address in any standardized way. So dumb humans are assuming that the "From" header is actually meaningful. Getting back to the ORIGINAL point ...
