The successful applicant will have an opportunity to support a range of 
projects primarily in the oncology therapeutic area, covering small molecules 
and novel modalities. Implementing translational science, such as empirical 
and/or model-based interspecies scaling of PK-PD and making human dose 
projections, will be an important task supporting projects transitioning into 
the clinic. In the earlier phases of drug discovery, development of mechanistic 
and/or systems pharmacology models will be an essential responsibility for 
guiding discovery teams to select appropriate compounds and molecular targets. 
In addition to portfolio support, the successful applicant will aid biologists 
and experimentalists in implementing emerging methodologies and technologies 
with respect to the design, execution and interpretation of in vitro and in 
vivo pharmacology studies. The successful applicant will have the opportunity 
to work with multiple stakeholders outside of the modeling and simulation 
discipline. He/she is also expected to network with global modelers in 
Translational Modeling and Simulation as well as other groups (Clinical 
Pharmacology, Pharmacometrics) to share knowledge, work on collaborative 
projects and enhance consistency in best practices across sites, disease areas, 
and therapeutic approaches. The individual will have opportunities to present 
scientific results both internally and externally through conference 
presentations and publications.
