The Center for Translational Medicine <https://ctm.umaryland.edu/#/>
at the University
of Maryland Baltimore School of Pharmacy
<https://www.pharmacy.umaryland.edu/> is looking to hire a Systems Biology
post-doc to support a joint UCSF-UMB grant from the Gates Foundation.

Briefly, the project goal is to develop a large animal neuroprotective
preclinical platform to help test and translate lead drug candidates for
the prevention and/or treatment of birth asphyxia. Building on our
collaborative and extensive experience studying sheep models of fetal,
neonatal and pediatric cardiovascular and pulmonary disease states, as well
as our expertise investigating newborn brain injury, we aim to produce a
clinically relevant model of birth asphyxia (BA) using well-established
protocols.

Additionally, based on our clinical pharmacology expertise we aim to
integrate physiologically-based pharmacokinetic modeling and systems
biology approaches to maximize translational success in the target neonatal
population.

The position is for 2 years and the pay scale will be based on NIH
guidelines. Apply now by sending:
