Google introduces G+ "collections" This looks interesting for some users, though I have no immediate plans to use it. Given the rather eclectic nature of my G+ postings, and the existing indeterminacy as to whether any given post will be seen by any given follower even in the current model, this seems like a way for me to limit engagement rather than foster it. I will add that in general I'm in favor of encouraging serendipity in postings, rather than filters and silos. YMMV.
