I decided to add a Savings Account to Moneywell and downloaded all
available transactions from the account's website. Since I was
downloading all transactions since I opened the account, I thought I
would just start the account in Moneywell with a zero balance. That
didn't work however, and my total in Moneywell was several thousand
short of what the total was on the internet banking site.

So, I thought, the download from the bank must be lacking the initial
setup deposit. When I looked at how much Moneywell was short, it
seemed to be the same amount that I had opened the savings account
with (I can't remember now exactly how much it was. It was several
years ago.

so, when I put that amount in as a starting balance, it brought
Moneywell's total in line with my banks total.

Now here is the strange part. When I imported the transactions for
the new account, there were 37 transactions, all of them deposits and
interest payments. I used "select all" to select all of these
payments and then marked them all as the same bucket (an income bucket
called "bank name savings") The strange thing is that the total in
this bucket does not match the total showing for the account, but
every transaction is marked with the same bucket! I double checked
and all 37 transactions are deposit transactions.

Any idea what might be happening here?
