Hi everyone, I am trying very hard to get use to the way MoneyWell works. So far, I am pleased, except for reconciling account statements.
I am lazy and I do not enter every transactions each day so reconciling (about once a week) is very important to me. Right now, I am trying to reconcile an account in MoneyWell. It indicates a balance of 5004.69$ (right of the account), but the real balance coming from the bank is 2105.70$. When in the reconcile panel, the starting balance comes from the previous reconciled statement and I enter the ending balance. To the right of the panel, both Statement and Difference have negative values. My problem is that I simply cannot find a way to modify the account statement to correspond to the one given by the bank. If I had a 2898.99$ withdrawal (5004.69 - 2105.70), the value to the right of the account name becomes correct, but the open reconcile statement still shows a difference. I think I really need some help. Should I start from scratch, or is there a way to force a new balance (I came from Budget, sorry for the comparison)? I am still hoping that MoneyWell will help me create a SIMPLE way to manage my money.
