Hi txcrew,

this excerpt does ONLY state that the company will obey to law
enforcement in case there are any legal disputes or doubts. So, IF you
for example put copyrighted files or anything else illegal on this
service, and the affected company or police or whatever finds out
about it, they may have legal power to obtain information from the
Dropbox Team to receive information what the IP address was, which
data has been distributed, the eMail address that has been used for
registering and so on.

This is nothing weird at all, and it does not mean that anyone can
breach the privacy in any easy way.

Kevin, you may have a point there - I´d rather be concerned about this
side rather than their terms of service.
I´d still believe that the data is handled with high security, as it
is usually handled - I mean that files cannot be accessed by
employees, all data arrives only encrypted on the server and so on.

I would be more paranoid about a service like Amazon S3, where people
backup their WHOLE COMPUTER to an online storage. Now if there is a
security hole, the complete computer would be available to someone...

Okay, sorry for driving this a little offtopic here. Kevin, maybe
there is a chance for doing some kind of encryption for the MoneyWell
file someday, so that those worries about a security problem would be
gone forever? Just playing with ideas here.

Chris.
