Hi Tanja,

Your list doesn't seem too long but my rule of thumb is to break out
anything that I need to focus on to better control my cash flow. I
know that eating out is very tempting for me and my family so that and
groceries are focus buckets. Most of our utilities are very consistent
so I don't worry about breaking out our different phone bills and I
can't do much about our insurance payments so all our insurances are
in one bucket. It's all about tracking my trouble spots.

I have some thoughts about the needs versus wants breakout in
MoneyWell but I'm not done working on this design. I always had
trouble breaking out "fixed" versus "flexible" expenses but I think
there is a good division of necessities versus wants. Right now that
shows up in priority of my buckets in my spending plan. I still have
my main list in alphabetical order because that's the easiest way for
me to find stuff.

Peace,
