HSBC (UK) have a really badly designed website which doesn't work with
Safari or any other webkit-powered browser. I have to login using
Firefox and download my statements in CSV format to my desktop. The
statements aren't much better either!

The problem is that the date for each transaction is in this format:
2009-02-12 [Year-Month-Day]

This causes an error to be displayed when trying to import this data
into Moneywell: "2009-02-12 = (cannot convert date using selected
format)"

There doesn't appear to be an option from the drop-down menu in
Moneywell for for this type of date format. My work around is to open
the statements in OpenOffice which seems to automatically convert the
date format. Then re-save the CSV files to my desktop and try
importing them again. This time round they import perfectly without
any error.

So is there a way to add this date format to Moneywell or consider
this as a feature request? That way it would be possible to import
HSBC CSV statements without having to run them through OpenOffice
first?

I've been using Moneywell since December and it is quite honestly the
best accounting application I've ever used. I've left my 5-star
feedback on MacUpdate. But his is the only problem I've hit.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice!
