Yes, I meant when you want to have each month a different amount or if  
you want to put a single amount in one month, then you'd do that in  
the Individual Monthly Planned Amounts section. If you set your  
frequency to "Annual" and have only one amount in one month, then the  
two values will be the same.

Entering a zero for the planned amount in the Planned column will zero  
out the months at the bottom so you can just enter one or two values.  
It's just a shortcut so you don't have to put a zero in 11 months just  
to get your total annual amount into a single month.
