I agree with Patrick, that it is a "major" part of the software (my wife and I have not gone over budget once since using Moneywell), but I believe you can do this: 1. Just set up your bucket/categories and assign them to transactions as you enter them and then hide the buckets from the left panel 2. Not sure, but if you do not set a Cash Flow Date (or if you set it a date far in the future 1/1/2099) I don't think it will track your spending (Kevin?) > Right-click a transaction and choose "Bucket Optional" > ( or something like that ). Not sure if there's a keyboard way to set > that, but maybe.
