Dear developers,

I got the cause of my problem.

Indeed, MW did not recognize my csv formatted (European) date
structure, namely 12.3.2009 This is not recognized by MW. After a
prior "search and replace" with "/", I can import without problems.

Perhaps in the next upgrade, MW could have the date format extended.
