I tried this with dd.mm.yy but it did not work (date in csv is
12.11.2008 for 12th nov. '08)
it converted every month to january

it even showed me that it misinterpreted the date: the first date in
the csv was "28.11.08" and it showed me:
28.11.08 = 28. January 2008
